Bringing the Elswood Service To the Southwest

Now taking bookings, we are working from our compact workshop in Ilton.

Over the next few years we'll be building up to opening a shop in the area.

Much like the original shop in Putney we plan to grow the business organically. The first step of which is building a purpose built workshop, using reclaimed materials and traditional methods. Head over to our Facebook page for updates!

Servicing and Repairs


We offer the full range of servicing and repairs from our Ilton based workshop, we can schedule a collection and drop off or you can use our secure drop off facility allowing you to choose a time that works for you!



Bespoke Wheelbuilding


If you are looking for the most effective way to upgrade your bike, look no further than a set of hand built wheels customised to your needs. Not only are our custom wheels better value than off the peg wheel sets, the build quality is such that we will guarantee them against broken spokes for the life of the rims.



About Elswood Cycleworks


As a concept, Elswood Cycleworks began back when Martin was still working at the venerable W.F. Holdsworth.

When they finally closed their doors in 2013, Martin set about building Elswood Cycles from his back garden.


2013-2015

Elswood Cycles steadily outgrew the small log cabin workshop in Twickenham, with an ever growing customer base and various multinational cycles events to support it became time to take the big step.


2015-2021

Having opened the shop with little more than a workstand, a hastily cobbled together till unit and a handful of spares we built the shop up as the servicing income grew along with our reputation.


2021 - Present

Having moved to Ilton, Martin now divides his time between overseeing the shop in Putney and building the business from scratch in Somerset, in the same area where, it transpires, the Elswood name goes back centuries....
