Rims
The Sputnik is the eyeleted version of the Andra 30 and just as popular among world travellers/touring riders. This pinned joint rim is available with double eyelets for an evenly spread spoke tension around the nipple head and an easy lacing and truing process. 6063 T6 Alloy makes for one of the strongest rims you can get.
Hubs
Alfine 6 volt 3 watt dynamo front hub with easy to use Centre-Lock disc brake mount. Provides bright illumination for safer night riding without the need and expense of replacing batteries. Important weight savings are made by using an efficient and light weight aluminium coil structure. Disc brake compatible, with Centre-Lock rotor mount. Labyrinth and contact sealing - low-friction seals effectively shut out water, mud, and dirt without affecting rotational smoothness increasing service life. Ultra reliable Deore Rear hub.
Spokes
We use Sapim's stainless steel double butted 'Race' spokes mainly for the astonishingly consistent quality of the stainless steel wire that they use to manufacture their spokes, as of yet we have not had a single spoke break on these wheels through normal usage.
