Rims
Drawing design cues from the hugely successful H+Son Archetype rim, The Hydra is a lighter, wider, disc specific rim.
Crafted from G609 alloy, the Hydra weighs in at only 440 grams and promises to build up to produce an incredibly light and strong wheel. The newer 25mm width is optimised for the fitment of up to 35c tyres - providing a more comfortable, dependable ride.
Hubs
DT are the original ratchet hub innovators, with over 25 years of development and refinement behind it no other manufacturer has matched DT's system for ease of service. reliability and durability. As a major upgrade, the latest 350 rear hubs now feature the 36-tooth SL ratchets, greatly speeding up engagement and reducing the weight of the rear hub. The same quad bearing system as used in the 240, with custom DT steel bearings and improved contact-free double flange sealing giving added durability and performance. This all comes together to make the 350 an exceptional performer at its price point; tough. light, fully rebuildable and renowned for its long term reliability, the 350 is the natural choice for almost any build.
Spokes
We use Sapim's stainless steel double butted 'Race' spokes mainly for the astonishingly consistent quality of the stainless steel wire that they use to manufacture their spokes, as of yet we have not had a single spoke break on these wheels through normal usage.
